Segmentation Based Approach to Detect Parasites and RBCs in Blood Cell Images
This paper presents an approach to detect the parasites and RBCs in the blood cell images in view of malaria detection. We have used S and V component images of HSV color model. These images are segmented by using Zack’s thresholding technique, sequential edge linking algorithm, Euclidian distance based clustering. Proposed approach is implemented with Pathology and CDC DPDx blood cell images.
